Notice regarding travel to the clinic
The City of Zurich is carrying out extensive infrastructure renovations at Kreuzplatz until the end of 2025. In addition, construction work will also take place around Zurich’s main station during the summer holidays. Both projects will result in significant disruptions to both public and private transportation – including access to Klinik Hirslanden.
At Kreuzplatz, tracks, utility lines, and the road surface are being renewed. Barrier-free tram stops and improvements for bicycle traffic are also being implemented. The construction will lead to detours and road closures – particularly on six weekends between June and October 2025, as well as on many evenings starting at 9:00 PM. Motorized traffic will be rerouted, and public transport will operate on modified routes with replacement buses. Detailed information is available in the City of Zurich's construction bulletin.
Additionally, from July 12 to 31, 2025, tracks at Zurich main station will be replaced. During this period, tram services will be suspended throughout the area, and bus lines 31 and 46 will also be affected. The stop Bahnhofquai/HB will not be served, and the stop Bahnhofstrasse/HB will be only partially served. The stop Bahnhofplatz/HB will be relocated to Gessnerallee. Tram line 11 will run via Kunsthaus to Klusplatz, and line 15 will turn around at Stadelhofen station. Replacement buses will operate between Stadelhofen station and Rehalp.
Please plan your journey using the VBZ online timetable and refer to the detailed information and this flyer regarding the summer closure.
